A screenshot of the alleged lineup for Xbox Live Games with Gold for the month of August leaked online recently.

Microsoft commonly announces their Games of Gold lineup at the end of each month, GearNuke reported. Just recently, a board on 4Chan posted a new promotional image showcasing game titles that will be available for free to Xbox Live Gold subscribers on Xbox One and Xbox 360, Gamepur wrote.

The alleged promotional poster indicates that "Ryse: Son of Rome" and "Slash Dash" will be available to Xbox One owners with Xbox Live subscription, Gamepur noted. Xbox 360 owners, on the other hand, will get "Fallout: New Vegas" and "Catherine" for Xbox 360 owners with Xbox Live subscription.

According to the news outlet, it's not unusual for Games of Gold to leak information prior to their official announcement dates. However, Gamepur referred to the alleged Games with Gold promotional images for August 2015 to be "a little too good to be true."

Still, Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft's Xbox division, was quick to shut down the leaked image currently making its rounds online. In a tweet posted on July 21, Spencer said that the screenshot "isn't real." Gamers still have to wait for the end of the month for the tech giant's official announcement.

Xbox Games Discounts

A few days ago, games and add-on deals were announced on the Xbox Games Store. Price cuts are valid until July 27, Major Nelson reported.

Game titles with discounted prices for Xbox One users include "The Evil Within Season Pass," "Wolfenstein: The Old Blood," "Dragon Ball Xenoverse," and "Infinity Runner," the news outlet listed.

Xbox 360 discount deals include "May Payne 3," "Quake Arena Arcade," "Ace Combat -- Assault Horizon," "Armored Core -- Verdict Day," "Beautiful Katamari," and "MotoGP 14," Major Nelson noted. Note that prices and availability of these games are subject to change and may differ in each region.

Xbox Thanks its Live Gold Subscribers

Last month, Xbox announced that it will give four new games to its Live Gold subscribers starting in July as a special thank you to its members.

According to the video gaming brand's official site, Gold members will get "two new Games with Gold every month on Xbox One." On top of that, Gold subscribers will enjoy "four new free games; two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360" each month.

Xbox One owners will receive the new games every 1^st and 16^th of the month, with downloads offered for the whole month. As for the Xbox 360, the games' availability retains its 1st to 15^th download schedule and from the 16^th to the end of the month, Xbox added.
