Marvel is known to have a lot of clues leading up to their next movie in the popular "Avengers" franchise. However, if you're wondering why Chris Hemsworth and the rest of Asgard is always missing, don't worry, there will be a pivotal Asgardian role in "Captain America: Civil War."
Well, it's not Hemsworth, but it's pretty big. Jamie Alexander, who plays Lady Sif, teased that the next Marvel movie will lead into "Thor: Ragnarok." Speaking with the Los Angeles Times, Alexander said that fans can find a lot of clues about the third Asgardian film around Marvel's Cinematic Universe.
She shared: "There's a lot of great stuff they've peppered in through 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' 'The Avengers,' 'Captain' will have some stuff. There's just all kind of Easter eggs and hints, if you're really paying attention. They're so good at interweaving everything throughout those films."
She also admitted, however, that while she is expected to have a pivotal role, she is not privvy to the plot of the upcoming "Thor". "Marvel, I think on purpose, they don't tell me certain things," she said, "because they know I'll be like, 'So here's what's gonna happen.' But I do know I will be in Thor 3 and that Sif will have a very pivotal part in that movie. I just can't tell you what because I'll get shot."
"Thor:Rgnarok" will be the last about the Asgadrian trilogy. The screenplay is written by Christopher Yost (Thor: The Dark World) and Craig Kyle (who also produced the previous "Thor" films). According to Coming Soon website, the film will take off from the events of "The Dark World", where Loki (Tom Hiddleston) has secretly taken the Asgardian throne in guise of his adoptive father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins).
No director has been attached to the project yet, although the film, which also stars Hemsworth as Thor and Alexander as Lady Sif, is expected to be released in theaters and IMAX on Nov. 3, 2017.
"Civil War", on the other hand, has a much nearer release date. It has been slated for May 6, 2016, so keep your eyes peeled for Thor 3 clues. The film will star Chris Evans as Steve Rogers / Captain America. However, in this installment, he is joined by fellow Avengers Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark / Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanov / Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton / Hawkeye, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Falcon, Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes / War Machine and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch.
