Reports about rumored smartphones and devices pop up almost every single day. Among the handsets currently being speculated upon on the Internet are the Samsung Galaxy S7 and HTC One M10.
Compiled below are the latest rumors about the Galaxy S7 and HTC One M10. It should be noted that these are all speculations for now and the tech giants are yet to issue an official announcement about the handsets.
Specs
According to Master Herald, Samsung started working on the Galaxy S7 about three months earlier than their previous smartphone models. Christian Today claimed that the handset will come in with a 5.5 Super AMOLED display screen with 4K pixel resolution. It will run on the latest Android M operating system and could have 4GB RAM and up to 128 GB internal memory storage.
An earlier report from ValueWalk said that the handset is expected to have a whopping 30 megapixel primary camera and a 10 MP front shooter for taking selfies.
The HTC One M10, in contrast, is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 820 SoC, UKMN reported. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 is being utilized in several smartphones, but the processor encountered some issues, such as overheating that could affect a device's battery life. HTC is reportedly waiting for the Snapdragon 820 SoC in order to avoid these problems.
The HTC One M10 (codenamed HTC Aero) is expected to have a 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution display and will feature 2.5D glass, which will be covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, UKMN wrote. The mobile device will have 4GB of RAM and two options for memory storage: a 64GB variant and a 128GB model.
Release Date & Price
Earlier reports claimed that the Galaxy S7 will be released sometime in the second half of this year, but Christian Today wrote that the smartphone will probably come out in March 2016. Tech Times speculated that the Galaxy S7 will cost between $750 and $850.
The HTC One M10 is expected to be released in March 2016 as well just like the Galaxy S7. This timetable is what HTC usually follows when it comes to releasing products.
Back in June, HTC's Chairwoman Cher Wang apologized to shareholders for the company's failed recent performance, revealing that they are planning to launch a "hero product" in October 2015. Fans would still have to wait if this device is the HTC One M10, PC Advisor noted. Estimations say that the smartphone will be priced around $905.
