As Samsung pits two impressive smartphones against Apple's new line of iPhones, rumors continue to surface putting both Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ in the comparison table.

GSM Arena revealed photo renders of the cases for the upcoming new smartphones from the Korean company, which showed how the Note 5 and Galaxy 6S Edge Plus would differ.

According to the report, ITSKINS, a case maker for the company's devices, sent the mobile device new website showing the overall dimensions and control layout of both phones.

While past rumors have given consumers a general idea of what to expect for these devices, these layout renders show that the next generation of Galaxy Note would sport a flat body without the popular curved screen from the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

However, the case design of the highly-anticipated phablet shows that it would follow the S6 family's sloped back panel with dimensions 153.3mm x 76.1mm x 7.9mm.

"Considering how the frame overlaps the edges, it really looks like another glass back," GSM Arena said.

They added that though this would definitely make the device more stylish, it would also mean that the new Galaxy Note would be powered by a non-removable battery with its rumored Exynos 7422 processor.

They also reported that Galaxy Note 5 would still have the ever-so-useful S-pen based on the cut-hole made for "an automated or push to eject mechanism."

According to First Post's tech news, the Note 5's would be "color-coordinated" with the smartphone which is rumored to be available in gold, silver, black and white.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is expected to follow its predecessor's design layout, but will be much larger.

GSM Arena was able to deduct the measurement of the S6 Edge Plus at 154.4mm x 75.8mm x 6.9mm, noting a protruding rear camera significantly increased the girth of the body.

Tech news from First Post also noted that the new S6 Edge would have a curved edge display, run by an Exynos 7420 processor-contrary to the rumored Snapdragon 808 chip-and 3GB RAM with the same storage options as that of the Galaxy S6.

According to Sam Mobile's inside source, both phones from Samsung would be announced by August 12 and would be made available to consumers on the 21st of the same month, much earlier than the new iPhone release in September.

Comparing both Samsung phones with each other, the International Business Times analysis of the rumored specs of the two which seemingly stated that the Note 5's "killer 4100 mAh battery unit" and S-Pen beat Galaxy S6 Edge Plus's 3,000 mAh battery.

However, it is important that users should take into consideration the fact that all specifications and even the release date presented in all reports have yet to be confirmed by Samsung.
