After their much-publicized breakup, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick and ex-fiancee Draya Michele are now facing more serious problems after the NFL star filed a restraining order against his former partner.
TMZ revealed that Scandrick filed court documents last July 7 asking a judge to order Draya to stay away from him. It added that the documents were filed to force the "Basketball Wives L.A." star out of their home.
A separate TMZ report also mentioned that Scandrick claimed that he was a victim of domestic violence after Draya reportedly "terrorized him and even blasted him with pepper spray."
The court documents also revealed that the abuse reportedly began last April 21 when Draya allegedly threw candles at him and knocked pictures off the wall.
The football star noted that he suffered injuries during that attack but it did not stop there. TMZ added that Draya again got violent last July 3 "throwing a porcelain jewelry holder and books at him ... and threatening to throw bleach in his eyes."
The reality star was also accused of throwing Scandrick'c clothes into the bathtub and into his swimming pool before running away with his other things.
Because of all these incidents, the NFL star has asked the judge to keep his ex-fiancee 100 yards away from him "at all times."
Scandrick earlier called off his engagement with Draya after less than a month of being engaged, according to Hollywood Life.
He claimed that it was "poor decision" to propose to the reality star.
"I have made the decision to call off the engagement and permanently end the relationship I had with Draya. In hindsight, it was a poor decision to propose," said Scandrick as quoted by Hollywood Life.
After they called off engagement, the same report learned that Draya was in pain because of Scandrick's decision.
"Draya is extremely emotional and downright crazy," an insider told Hollywood Life. "The relationship was toxic and they just should never have been together. Orlando is a great man and father but they just couldn't make it work together."
MusicTimes said there were reports claiming that the NFL star never really proposed to Draya and that she bought her own ring and made up the story.
"Michele went as far as securing the reported $400K rock by shelling out all of her earnings to only still come up short, which is when she allegedly promised the jeweler that news of her engagement would send business through their doors and more than make up for the debt owed on the ring," added the same report.
On her Twitter account, Draya refuted all these claims saying "I would NEVER buy my own ring or fake an engagement."
