Austin Mahone and Becky G wouldn't let distance affect their relationship.

In a recent interview with E! News, Mahone admitted that being away from each other is proving to be hard for him and Becky, but they make it work.

"It's going good. I mean it's cool, you know, we have a good time. I visit her in L.A., she visits me in Miami. We make music together. It's great," the "Mmm Yeah" singer told E! News. "A long distance relationship is definitely tough, but I think you know the fact that we, you know, are in the same career mode; it kind of brings us together even more."

Becky, whose real name is Rebbeca Marie Gomez, gushed about her relationship with Mahone.

"He is very spontaneous, and I love that about him, just because we can just be hanging out all day in sweatpants and just eating some cereal and then the next day we could be in the zoo or jet skiing in South Beach," she explained to Latina.

The "Shower" singer continued, "It's just fun, and we don't have to think about it. That's what's so romantic about it. We kind of just go with the flow, and we just end up places we never thought we would end up."

The Mexican-American recording artist also said that she and Mahone don't mind the publicity surrounding their romance, Latina reported. She claims that dating a fellow celebrity is "new" and "a little awkward," but they both know what they are doing from the get-go.

"I know what I signed up for as far as my career goes and then of course he works really hard at the same time to be recognized for his work," Becky, 18, explained to the news outlet.

In a separate interview with E! News, Mahone said that it's nice dating someone who shares the same passion and who understands the ups and downs of having a music career. The two confirmed their relationship in May, with Becky also unveiling the music video for her "Lovin' So Hard" track showcasing their romance.

Mahone, 19, recently unveiled a new single titled "Dirty Work," a sample from the full-length follow-up record to 2014's "The Secret" EP.

For the album, the singer worked with producers and songwriters like Jason Evigan, Rock City and the Monsters, and the Strangerz, Billboard reported.

Mahone admitted that it was a little hard for him to get to this point in his career because he aimed to find his sound and "grow as an artist," the news outlet wrote.

He added, "It was a process, but we've got most of the album done right now."
