As its release date nears, the iPhone 6S is now on the spotlight amid more rumors about what people should expect with the newest addition to Apple's elite line of smartphones.

Speculations cited by Bloomberg revealed that the new iPhone 6S, which may also be called the iPhone 7, is already in mass production.

According to the report, the new iPhone would be available in both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screens, with an innovative feature known as the Force Touch. This is also expected to be incorporated into the iPhone 6S premium version, the iPhone 6S Plus.

The new touch feature, says Bloomberg, is something iPhone users should root for. It entails a more sensitive touch screen that can sense the amount of pressure used to press on the phone and executes user-defined functions.

The International Business Times said that this may be the "most significant" new feature added to the next generation of iPhones that could most probably keep the company ahead of its biggest competitors like Samsung Electronics Co.

Also, these elite smartphones are also expected to boast an improved camera and camera software for to cope with the selfie age.

Just last week, the Wall Street Journal revealed that Apple acquired the camera technology firm known as LinX Computational Imaging Ltd. Experts.

Linx, says the IBT, would most probably be involved in the manufacturing of the 12-megapixel camera set for the new iPhone. The new phone cameras are expected to sport a decreased shutter lag, better color fidelity, and highly-improved performance during low light photo shoots.

IBT also got word that the new iPhones would have a power-saving new processor called the Apple A9, which reportedly provide 'bigger' performance enhancements to the new line of smartphones from the company.

Other rumored features include a sturdier 7000 Series aluminum body, a pre-installed SIM from participating carriers, 2GB RAM, and the new iOS 9.

While these features may seem big and worth-the-wait, some are still not impressed with the updates made in the next generation of iPhones.

A recent report from Boston Herald claims that the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are part of the company's "small step toward streamlined branding."

Citing the controversial analysis from Slice Intelligence, Boston Herald deemed the new iPhones to be an insufficient answer to the unconfirmed 90 percent downfall of sales of the Apple Watch.

"The new iPhone was an opportunity to put those doubts to rest with new technology that more deeply links to the watch and makes us want it more," the report stated, adding further that the company "appears to be passing on" this new opportunity to bounce back from the Apple Watch travesty.
