While the secret romantic in fans would have loved for Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) to have his happy ever after driving into the sunset with Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), everyone knows that it's going to be the end of "Arrow" if that's to happen, and nobody is really ready for that.

So to prove that Ollie will still be back at Starling to serve his city, the panel at the San Diego Comic Con released a new image of Amell in his "Arrow" attire - only it isn't the same one that fans have gotten used to in the past three seasons.

Designed by "Arrow" costume designer Maya Mani (who was als responsible for much of the series costumes including the Black Canary and the ATOM Suit), the new garbs bid adieu to Oliver's long sleeves, showing off more leather and more guns. IGN reported that it's similar to the Green Arrow's look in the New 52 comic book series.

The new getup is sleeveless, and also looked more elaborate compared to the simple suit that Ollie has worn for the past three years in Starling City.

The leather, according to Cinema Blend, plays more like an armor than just another jacket, especially with the detail around his shoulders, andwith a pair of gauntlets to match.

While a costume change is expected, especially considering that Oliver has shed his dark "Arrow" persona after he killed Ra's Al Ghul last season (and decided to drive off into the sunset with his lady love), Screen Rant said that the change may be a factor as the production team attempts to reintroduce a more light-hearted Green Arrow to the show.

As Screen Rant reported, Ollie had his dark moments in the comics, but he was more of a charmer than a brooding hero like Batman.

Speaking of costumes, Ollie is not the only one that's getting new threads next season. According to Ledger Gazette, Diggle (played by David Ramsey) is also going to have a new costume, although his hasn't been revealed to the public yet.

But if the female characters get to don awesome leather, why shouldn't Ollie's best friend have the same?

Most of the original cast members will be back to reprise their roles for another season, including Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance/The Black Canary, David Ramsey as Diggle, Willa Holland as Thea Queen/Speedy, John Barrowman as Malcolm Merlyn, and Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance.

"Arrow" Season 4 will premiere on October 7 on The CW.
