Moto X owners now have another chance to snag a new camera update as Motorola recently released a new patch for the popular handset.

The new camera update gives users the option to manually adjust the focus and exposure, locked exposure during Panorama, additional language support, and a few bug fixes.

Following the precedent set by the previous September Moto X camera update, Motorola is once again releasing the new upgrade via Google Play. By choosing to release core features — such as the camera — on Google Play, Motorola doesn't have to deal with getting approvals from various carriers when it wants to update. All interested parties have to do is update (or download if you haven't already) the Motorola Camera app.

The previous camera update back in September improved color accuracy and low-light performance.

The latest camera update is just one of a recent slew of new patches to hit the Moto X. Soon after Android 4.4 KitKat was announced at the end of October, the Moto X became one of the first recipients of the shiny new firmware. Major U.S. carriers Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular have all rolled out Android 4.4 KitKat for the device, with Sprint recently joining the club Thursday.

The Moto X released August 2013 to much fanfare due to its hands-free approach as well the ability to customize the appearance of the smartphone. The Moto X features a 4.7-inch display capable of 316 pixels per inch, a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM, a 10.5-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 2.1-megapixel front shooter.
