Telltale has released a new trailer for The Walking Dead Season Two that establishes what users can expect from the new game after the events of the first game and the 400 Days DLC episode.

The game begins with a small flashback showing the ending of the first season, with Lee defending Clementine from a zombie, and other scenes of the two characters interacting. A man narrates over these scenes discussing Clementine, who is now on her own without Lee and traveling with a group of people. The man is sitting on train and talking about how in this new zombie infested world characters must not treat Clementine as a child or a girl, but as something alive in a world full of the undead.

From there, the trailer switches to focus mainly on Clementine, who will be the playable character for the game. We see Clementine interacting with different members of the group as well as exploring some woods and a building by herself. The character is seen shivering in the cold, looking at a photo of Lee, and even fighting off zombies. The action in the trailer really sets in when Clementine, apparently alone, is attacked in the woods by a man. However, Clementine is able to fight off the man temporarily and send him into the arms of a zombie. When Clementine is able to get up she sees that the woods are full of zombies, and she falls down a steep embankment and into a river. The trailer ends with the girl being submerged underneath the water.

This trailer sets up the tone of the first episode of the second season of The Walking Dead quite nicely, and gives players something to expect in the first few hours of the new content. When Telltale releases new episodes of The Walking Dead game, they are also releasing episodes for The Wolf Among Us based on the Fables comic book series.

Telltale also recently announced two new projects. One is a spinoff of the Borderlands series called Tales From the Borderlands. Another is an unnamed project based on the Game of Thrones book and television series. Both these new games are expected to begin in 2014.

The second season of the episodic series will begin when the first episode of season two is launched on Dec. 17.
