Apple recently unveiled new MacBook Pros this year. A 15-inch variant of the laptop was released in May while a 13-inch model came out in March. Fans of the tech giant's MacBook device have a treat coming in store for them when the new version of the laptop launches in 2016. According to some reports, the upcoming MacBook Pro will be even better than its predecessors.

Listed below are the latest speculations and rumors about the new MacBook Pro. Note that this isn't official yet and Apple still has to issue an announcement.

Thinner Body

As per Gotta Be Mobile, Apple could provide a big redesign to the 2016 MacBook Pro with an even thinner body than the past laptops of the corporation. The device is expected to be powerful and can accommodate high-end components.

More Efficient Processor

MNR Daily claimed that the 2016 MacBook Pro will be powered by the Intel Core M-based Skylake processors that is already being utilized in some of Apple's laptops.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro functions with a 2.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, 256GB of flash storage, and Intel Iris Pro Graphics, Gotta Be Mobile wrote. The 13-inch model variant is powered by a 2.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, with 8GB of memory, 128GB of flash storage, and Intel Iris Graphics improving its performance.

USB-C Port

The news outlet added that Apple could include improved ports for the MacBook Pro. For example, instead of "having the power port, two Thunderbolt ports, two USB ports, HDMI, and SD card slot and a headphone jack, Apple could slim it down to a couple of USB-C ports, a headphone jack, and maybe keep a Thunderbolt port for the power users," Gotta Be Mobile wrote.

The new MacBook Pros that are currently out in the market are sporting a Force Touch trackpad and a faster processor, the news outlet noted. The laptops are equipped with Intel's new Broadwell processors, which provide faster performance while cutting down energy at the same time. This way, battery life is used wisely.

Release Date & Price

MNR Daily speculated that the new MacBook Pro will be released in the market in March 2016. An October 2015 unveiling for the laptop is expected. The 2015 MacBook Air was also announced in October last year.

The 2016 MacBook Pro is expected to compete directly against the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 hybrid device, MNR Daily noted.

There is no estimated price for the 2016 MacBook Pro yet. The MacBook Pro currently out in the market starts selling around $1500.
