Eva Longoria is known for being an actress, a TV producer, and a human rights activist. Now, the brunette beauty is also dipping her toes in the fashion business by launching her own clothing line.

Longoria's upcoming and still unnamed apparel line will be released in fall 2016, PEOPLE reported. The clothing apparel will focus mainly on dresses, work outfits, and casual sportswear, and expand later on to footwear, accessories, and handbags.

"I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and it is a real privilege to partner with Sunrise Brands who brings their expert experience in the apparel world," the 40-year-old actress said in a press release, as quoted by PEOPLE. "I am excited to design a collection that will offer women versatility while evoking confidence, comfort, and a sense of glamour."

Sunrise Brands also manufactures Melissa McCarthy's own fashion line, Seven7, the news outlet noted.

In an interview with WWD, Longoria revealed that she enjoys making clothes for herself and her friends, and that she has an industrial sewing machine at home. When traveling abroad, she makes it a point to look for patterns and textiles as inspirations for her clothes.

The "Desperate Housewives" star said that she's always wanted to launch her own fashion line, but the time was just not perfect, WWD wrote. Longoria already have two fragrances called Eva by Eva Longoria and EVAmour with Falic Fashion Group. In addition, she has her own cookbook and partnered with J.C. Penney earlier this year on a bedding line.

Longoria said that she will be heavily involved with her clothing line, which is just in its development phase. She assures that the fashion brand will "offer women versatility while evoking confidence, comfort and a sense of glamour," adding that the collection will suit the "working woman who wants things to transition from work to night," the news outlet noted.

Longoria is set to star in NBC's midseason comedy, "Hot & Bothered," as Ana Sofia, the lead star of a Spanish soap opera who doesn't know how to speak Spanish, WWD added.

Longoria, who is currently dating Mexican businessman Jose Baston, said that she is "truly in love," and that every moment she spends together with her boyfriend is "a blessing," Daily Mail reported.

As for whether she would consider cosmetic surgery, Longoria admitted that she is not against with the idea.

"Each to their own, I say. Anyone can do anything, that's the beauty of having control over yourself," Longoria explained, as quoted by Daily Mail. "When the time comes I will consider everything. I'm not one of those people who say 'I'll never do this or that.' Never say never, when my time comes I'll figure out what I need."
