The Moto X 2015 3rd Generation and the Microsoft Lumia 940 are now two of the most awaited phones in the market.
Fans are curious about how these two devices will fair against each other when they are eventually released.
Below is a comparison of the rumored specifications of the two handsets to give fans and users and overview on what can be expected from these phones.
Display
Yibada said the Moto X 2015 model will have AMOLED screens with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution which supported that claim of Android Origin that the device will have a 5.2-inch screen with a high pixel density that will surely amaze fans.
Meanwhile, the Lumia 940 will reportedly have a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, according to the International Business Times.
Platform and processor
The Moto X 2015 is believed to run on a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset with 4GB of RAM.
TechTimes, on the other hand, said that the Lumia 940 will run on a 64-bit hexacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor.
Camera
According to VC Post, the next instalment of Motorola will have a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5 MP front shooter.
This is a bit lower to what the Lumia 940 is offering. TechTimes said that the Lumia 940 will feature a 20MP Pureview main camera and 5MP front-facing shooter best for selfies and video conversations.
Release Date and Price
The Lumia 940, which is expected to come out this summer, is believed to cost higher than its predecessor which was pegged at $736.
The Moto X is said to cost between $470 to $660 and will reportedly come out between August to October this year.
Other features
PhonesReview said that that the new Lumia 940 will have 5mm edges and a thickness of 8.5mm.
"It's a fairly narrow handset that has an amount of curvature, and there's a rectangular camera area on the reverse that looks to have glass protection. To the bottom of the rear casing there's a speaker, and it seems to have a metal frame, although the whole casing could possibly be metallic," PhonesReview reports.
The Lumia device will also reportedly have the usual Windows Phone capacitive buttons but will come with a nano sim card slot and USB Type C connector.
Meanwhile, the Moto X 2015 is said to come in two sizes with the first variant being the 5.2 inches and the other is 5.7 inches.
"It will also retain the front facing speaker design which was also seen in the first generation of Moto X," Yibada posted.
The upcoming Motorola phone will also reportedly have a USB Type C connector, a feature that will rank it among the high end phones in the market.
