Miguel Garcia, Senior Vice President of Product Development and Chief Technology Officer for GXS, has been named as part of the Hispanic IT Executive Council's (HITEC) HITEC 100 for 2014. The HITEC 100 is a group of the top Hispanic leaders in the high-tech IT community.

Garcia runs the technology strategy and engineering behind GXS, a business-to-business integration company that helps over half a million businesses collaborate and efficiently manage logistics in the cloud. He's one of the leaders behind the scenes; building and maintaining the kind of infrastructure that helps businesses deliver products better.

HITEC has named him to the top 100 list for inspiring up-and-coming young Hispanics to pursue careers in technology. Garcia has more than 25 years of experience running international software development projects with a track record of innovation, delivery, and leadership, according to HITEC.

The 2014 HITEC 100 were selected on criteria based on individual achievements in the technology industry, as well as professional level, position, scope of responsibility, and involvement in diversity and leadership initiatives. A four-member panel of judges looked through more than 300 nominations to select the 100 for 2014. "The 2014 honorees are among the best in their careers, their companies and their communities," said HITEC.
