Paul Feig's "Ghostbusters" female-driven reboot has found its villain in Neil Casey.

As per Deadline, Casey will portray the antagonist, Rowan, in Sony Pictures' upcoming comedy film, which is already shooting in Boston. The movie's screenplay was written by Feig and Kate Dippold.

Casey has several writing credits in comedy shows, including NBC's "Saturday Night Live" and Comedy Central's "Inside Amy Schumer" and "The Kroll Show," Deadline reported. He also had roles on "Veep," "The League," "Broad City," "Playing House," and in the SXSW flick "Fort Tilden." He is currently appearing in Feig's Yahoo original series titled "Other Space."

The all-female reboot, which is headlined by Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon, will also feature Chris Hemsworth as the male version of Annie Potts' Janine Melnitz, the original ghostbusters group's secretary, the news outlet noted. Other recently announced cast members are Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, "SNL" cast member Cecily Strong, and "Veep" actor Matt Walsh as Rourke, The Wrap listed.

Williams of "The Wire" and "Boardwalk Empire" fame will play a character named Hawkins, while Garcia of "Ocean's Eleven" is tapped to be the Mayor of New York City in the film, The Wrap. Time Warner Cable's NY1 morning news anchor, Pat Kiernan, will have a role in the reboot as well.

An official synopsis for the "Ghostbusters" reboot is yet to be revealed. However, Boston Herald wrote about what the film's plot may revolve around. It reads: "Wiig and McCarthy play a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. Flash forward a few years and Wiig lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia U. Which is pretty sweet, until her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Wiig reunites with McCarthy and the other two proton pack-packing phantom wranglers, and she gets some sweet revenge when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world."

On July 8, Vulture tweeted a photo of McCarthy from the set of the film in her Ghostbusters uniform. Feig, who previously directed Wiig and McCarthy in the blockbuster hit "Bridesmaids," also shared a snapshot of the four leading ladies' costumes on Twitter.

"Ghostbusters" will premiere in theaters on July 22, 2016, The Wrap noted. The film was based on the 1984 comedy bearing the same name starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson as scientists who develop high-end technology to fight supernatural elements.
