Austin Mahone's past romance with Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello may have been short-lived, but the "Mmm Yeah" singer still thinks kindly of the time he spent with the girl group last summer.

"They're very successful, and they've done very well," Mahone said of Fifth Harmony during a recent interview with Billboard. "The tour that we had was a really good time. We did a lot of shows [together]."

Mahone headlined a North American tour with Fifth Harmony, Shawn Mendes, and The Vamps as opening acts, Billboard noted. The girl group, which is composed of Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen, Cabello, and Lauren Jauregui, released their debut album "Reflection" earlier this year. The record boasts of hits such as "Bo$" and "Worth It," and has warranted a headlining tour for the girls kicking off on July 15.

"I'm excited for them," Mahone continued, as reported by the news outlet. "They've got a lot going on, and all of it's good."

Mahone, 19, recently unveiled a new single titled "Dirty Work," a sample of a full-length follow-up album to last year's "The Secret" EP.

"I'm not sure if the album is definitely coming out in the fall, but it will be out before the end of the year," Mahone told Billboard. "After the album drops, I'll definitely be putting a tour together. I'm excited to get back on the road."

For the album, the singer worked with producers and songwriters like Jason Evigan, Rock City and the Monsters, and the Strangerz, a separate report from Billboard wrote.

"It was definitely a little bit difficult to get to this point, just because I wanted to find my sound and grow as an artist," he told the news outlet of the record. "It was a process, but we've got most of the album done right now."

Just recently, Mahone was spotted with girlfriend Becky G enjoying the waves at a Miami beach.

Becky, whose real name is Rebbeca Marie Gomez, made sure she didn't share Mahone's attention with anyone by wearing a cute black and white bikini set, while the heartthrob wore pink swimming trunks. At one point, the couple held hands and played in the water, with Becky tousling Mahone's wet hair, Daily Mail reported. The duo also rode a jet ski with Mahone driving the vehicle.

Mahone shared a snapshot of him and Becky on his Instagram page during the trip. In the photo, the recording artist made a peace sign with his hand, while Becky stuck her tongue out. A few weeks ago, Mahone also posted a dimly-lit picture featuring him topless with Becky hugging the singer from behind.
