The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will soon be available on the Motorola Moto X, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Google Nexus 6.

According to GottaBeMobile, Motorola is continuously trying to deliver the latest operating system on their phones and that the original Moto X is next on the line.

"In fact, at the end of June Motorola told us the original Moto X Android 5.1 Lollipop update was nearing the final stages for two carriers in the United States, and starting today it's finally ready to roll out for those on AT&T," explained the same report.

On his Google+ account, Motorola's David Schuster shared details on the software updates for various devices.

He said that the Moto X will be getting the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop very soon on Verizon and AT&T, which are two of the biggest mobile carriers in the United States.

"Hope everyone in the US had a good 4th of July weekend. I have some good news.... The Android Lollipop 5.1 upgrade for both Verizon and AT&T versions of the Moto X (2ne Gen) has been moved to full deployment. We are starting the Android 5.1 Lollipop upgrade soak for Moto X (1st Gen) on AT&T today. It will be open for pull for anyone that is not in the initial deployment," he shared on his post.

Meanwhile, Android Central said that the same update has been rolled out to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge in India. This reportedly come with the ability to sort apps alphabetically, new exposure controls and shooting modes in its camera application and the Guest mode.

"You can also remove S Finder and Quick Connect shortcuts from the quick-settings drop-down," added the same report.

For the Google Nexus 6, DayHerald said that the Android 5.1.1 update will remove additional bugs and improve the overall Lollipop experience. They said that some Nexus 6 users are still stuck with the old version of Android since they have not yet received the update which became available last May.

When the update became available for the Nexus 6 on various carriers like Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular, some Nexus 6 users still did not receive it.

"The latest update was not a single update for all users. Instead, it was exclusive to various carriers," added DayHerald.

Fans and users are now expecting that the update will start to roll over this coming weekend, a development which will be greatly appreciated by Nexus 6 users.

The Android update is anticipated to bring some good changes to mobile experience and improve the overall use of Android devices.
