Apple is stepping up its game as rumors describe the upcoming iPad Mini 4 to be the thinnest tablet packed with better features than those in its predecessors.

According to Cross Map, the company responsible for making the iPhone has been trying to make amends to customers by making the newest iPad so much better than what they offered with previous editions of the tablet device.

Users were reportedly disappointed with the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.

Based on the description from Apple's online store, the iPad Mini 3 boasts a new gold finish with exactly the same size and external design as the original iPad Mini.

The iPad Air 2, on the other hand, is said to be run by a 64-bit A8X processor and M8 motion co-processor, a powerful set of processors matched with 2 GB worth of random access memory.

GSM Arena revealed in June that the first generation iPad Mini had been removed from the company's online store to pave the way to the upcoming release of the fourth generation of this line of devices.

The report also shows a photo of a case reportedly made for the new iPad Mini.

As seen on the photos the source posted over Twitter, the iPad Mini 4 casing has holes along the bottom which reportedly was for the tablet's Lightning connector, while two more cutouts were made for its volume buttons, speakers, and rear camera.

Seeing the case is like getting a glimpse of what the new iPad Mini would look like especially its allegedly thinner and, therefore, lighter body.

Rumors suggest that the new iPad Mini would have a more powerful A9 processor with an M9 co-processor as well as 2 GB worth of RAM under its hood, accordint to Tech Times.

Other rumors cited by VCPost revealed that the new iPad Mini would brandish the new iOS 9 while maintaining a Touch ID fingerprint sensor and the 7.9-inch display similar to its predecessor.

Tech Times reports that Apple is expected release the latest addition to the iPad Mini family alongside the iPad Air 3 and iPad Pro in the fall of 2015.

As of the writing of this article, these specifications and features are still unofficial, as Apple has yet to release an official statement about the iPad Mini 4.
