After the release of Mortal Kombat X's Predator DLC promo trailer, it is expected that its content will be available today to users who pre-purchased the Kombat pack and to the public on July 14.
CinemaBlend said the 17-second teaser trailer does not showcase nor highlight the character of the game but only showed images and visuals which could be expected from the upcoming instalment.
"The Predator has many of all his classic abilities featured in both movies, Predator and Predator 2. This includes his razor sharp disc that cuts through just about anything, his retractable spear, his wristblades and his shoulder cannon," CinemaBlend said.
"The combos look righteous and the developers did a great job of implementing and honing the character to fit in with the rest of the cast of characters in Mortal Kombat X."
The Predator DLC for the game will enable gamers to expand their roster come July 7 after purchasing the Kombat Pack.
Last April, the Mortal Komabt X was launched on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC, but its release on the Xbox 360 and PS3 has been delayed. CinemaBlend said that the delayed launches for the gaming consoles could be expected before the year ends.
Engadget reported that Dreadlocked Destroyer could be purchased as a separate character. The game will also have the Terror of the Trees and additional character skins like the Commando Johnny, Infrared Scorpion and Carl Weathers as Jax.
Starting July 14, the Predator bundle could be available for $7.99. "Anyone wishing to purchase Predator on his own will be able to do so from that date for $4.99, while the accompanying skins will also be available separately for $3.99." explained IGN.
In discussing the Predator release, PC Gamer said that the gameplay trailer of the game could already offer gamers of its "intergalactic hunter in action"
"It's not really fair that the P-Man gets to use wrist blades, a spear, and a shoulder-mounted laser in what is ostensibly a fistfight. It's not that far out of line, but does he really have to use all three at once? That's some serious fatalizing right there. The kill on Jason at the end is a nice nod to the film, though," added the same report.
Along with the Predator offering, Warner Bros also said that the Klassic Fatality Pack will be released today for free for all Kombat players which includes fatalities by Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sonya and Johnny Cage.
IGN said that there is also a possibility for Rain to appear in the Mortal Kombat X.
