The Moto G 2015 is set to be released before the year ends, and fans of the phone series are now anticipating what makes it different from its predecessor.
Below is a comparison of the two devices based from the rumored specifications of the upcoming device and the given specs of the Moto G 2014:
Platform
Yibada dished that the Moto G 2015 will come packed with a quadcore Snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. It will reportedly run the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Its older brother, the Moto G 2014, runs on Android KitKat which could be upgraded to Lollipop 5.0, according to GSM Arena. It has a Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 and a Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7.
Camera and Display
The upcoming Moto G release is believed to sport a 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera. For its display, Yibada said the handset will come with a 5-inch IPS LCD display screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution.
According to the Motorola website, the Moto G 2014 has an 8MP main camera with LED flash, autofocus, slow motion video, and burst mode. It also had a 2MP front camera.
Connectivity

Price
The anticipated price tag of the device is said to be around $179, reports Yibada. This amount parallels the price of the Moto G 2014 when it was first released.
Based from the new phone's features and specifications, GottaBeMobile said that there could be some tweaks in the design, but Motorola could still stick to the familiar and popular feel of the series and keep the price affordable.
The same report said that leaked photos of the device "reveal a slightly redesigned look with a plastic or aluminum bar on back, which could double as some sort of button." Previously, it was also rumored to have the Motorola logo that has no functional capability.
Meanwhile, the dual front-facing speakers of the device along with its camera are expected to have great improvements. GottaBeMobile added that fans are also excited for the various colour variants of the phone just like the Moto G 2014, though this has yet to be confirmed.
