George Clooney's alleged plan on ending his marriage with wife Amal Alamuddin had been debunked by several entertainment news outlets, citing how the couple had been recently spotted in their Italian residence.

Citing the National Enquirer, Star Pulse revealed on American Independence Day how the actor has decided to finally end it with Amal Alamuddin simply because he thinks she "ruined his image."

"George has had enough. The Amal experiment has backfired badly, and he's looking for a way out," a source claimed.

Allegedly, the "Monuments Men" star just married Alamuddin for her political expertise for his intention to run for public office which apparently did not go as planned.

"George thought that Amal would help him fulfill his dream of running for office and, maybe one day, becoming president. It's a nightmare for George. Suddenly, he isn't getting calls from D.C. movers and shakers, and he believes Amal's to blame. Instead of being like Bill and Hillary Clinton, they've become a trashy celebrity couple like Kim and Kanye," the source added.

This, reports the National Enquirer, had been due to Alammudin's sudden popularity after becoming his wife.

However, Gossip Cop debunked these statements saying that Enquirer cited "seemingly fabricated quotes" from its "source", noting that the ending statement of the report proves so.

"It should be obvious simply by reading the quotes from the Enquirer's 'source' that this is all made up," Gossip Cop stated, referring to Clooney's alleged plan to leave his wife on her own in his London mansion after renovations are made.

Separate reports from E! News and People show why the rumored divorce plans are farfetched especially after the couple was spotted at their villa near Lake Como in Italy to happily celebrate the 4th of July holiday.

According to E! News, Mr. & Mrs. Clooney, who each sported comfortable-yet-dashing attires, had even invited some VIPs to their celebration, including Julia Roberts and husband Daniel Moder.

People's source revealed that the couple welcomed a total of 10 guests in their home.

Wednesday last week, the Clooneys had also been spotted with veteran actor Robert De Niro and his wife in what seemed like a double dinner date at a resort near the Lake Como villa.

During his arrival, the source also noted how George "seems to be slipping into his summer routine" of avoiding getting in the spotlight of the Italian town where they have not strolled into at all.

On July 2, E! News also got word that the actor graced the Toto Concert in Milan to show his support for his guitarist friend Steve Lukather and surprised the audience by stepping on-stage while the group was performing "Africa."

"Nobody realized for a while who it was and then everyone around started screaming and shouting. They went crazy when they realized it was George," the source told E! News.
