Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 and the Moto X 2015 3rd Generation are bound to be competitors when both devices come out in the market.
We compiled the latest speculations and rumors about the two gadgets. Note that these are all unconfirmed at the moment and the tech corporations are yet to issue official announcements.
Design & Display
French website NoWhereElse.fr has obtained leaked images of the Galaxy Note 5. The photos suggest that the device will bear close resemblance to the Samsung Galaxy S6, and has an aluminum frame, glass back, and an improved fingerprint sensor. An S Pen stylus housing alongside a loudspeaker are also visible in the leaked images, ValueWalk reported.
The Galaxy Note 5 is also said to have a 5.9-inch Super AMOLED 2K display, the news outlet added.
The Moto X 2015, meanwhile, will have a 5.1 inch display with a QHD resolution, competing against the Galaxy S6, Geek Snack claimed.
Processor, OS, & Battery
ValueWalk wrote that the Note 5 will have a huge 4,100mAh battery. The device is expected to be powered by the Samsung's Exynos 7422 all-in-one processor that combines RAM, CPU, GPU, memory, and storage on a single chip. It will run using the latest version of the Android Lollipop alongside 3 GB of RAM.
In contrast, the Moto X 2015 is said to be equipped with an 8-core Snapdragon 810 processor and 3 GB of RAM, Gotta Be Mobile reported. It is expected to run using the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop release.
Camera & Other Features
Other features of the Galaxy Note 5 include a 16 MP primary camera and a USB Type-C port, ValueWalk wrote. If the rumored glass back panel of the leaked images is true, then it means that the handset will not have a removable battery and an expandable storage.
Gotta Be Mobile wrote that the Moto X 2015's will have a 20 megapixel primary shooter and 4.8 front camera. Geek Snack added that the device's camera will come with optical image stabilization and 4K video recording.
Release Date & Price
Master Herald speculated that the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to come out in September at the IFA Berlin, which will start on the fourth of the month. PC Advisor estimated that the mobile device will be priced between $840 and $914.
The Moto X 2015 is also expected to be released at the IFA Berlin in September, Geek Snack noted. We previously reported that considering the price of its predecessor, the Moto X 2015's 16 GB variant could cost around $425 while the 32 GB will sell at $475.
