"Persona 5" was previously estimated to be launched next year. However, a new trailer that was shown in Japan indicated that the game's release will happen in 2015.
As per Vine Report, the video revealed that "Persona 5" will roll out in the U.S. simultaneously with Japan this year on the PS3 and PS4. Atlus, the game's developer, didn't mention the exact release date of "Persona 5." So far, Atlus only released a fall launch for "Persona 4: Dancing All Night," Siliconera noted.
Atlus' P Studio, which develops the game, usually announces release dates four months prior to a game's official launch, which means gamers could possibly hear about the actual date of "Persona 5" around August, GameZone wrote. YouthHealthMag speculated that the game will be launched within October to December 2015.

According to Vine Report, the game will feature the protagonist starting the school year at Tokyo's Shujin High School. The adventure starts when the lead character gets involved in a gang of teenagers called "Phantom Thief."
Latinos Post wrote that the protagonist's growth will be determined through studying, working, and interacting with others. The game is also expected to feature the "social link" system, which was incorporated in "Persona 3" and "Persona 4" as well. With this, the character will have the chance to be stronger and faster.
The "Persona" series started in 1996 on the Playstation. Since then, the game gave way to five more versions and a few spin-offs: "Revelations: Persona," "Persona 2: Innocent Sin," "Persona 2: Eternal Punishment," "Persona 3," extended version "Persona 3 FES," "Persona 3" remake for the PSP, "Persona 4," and "Persona 4 Golden" for the Vita, among others, the news outlet listed.
"Persona 5" director Katsura Hashino previously spoke about the upcoming game. Here is what he said, as translated by a separate report from Siliconera:
"For this game, we're going with a challenge that fuses together a juvenile school setting that is as large as life, together with a picaresque romance. In the previous game, we wrote a story that involved having a justice group chase down a bad guy that could easily be feared by just about anyone."
He continued, "This time, it's about a group of high school students that are being 'chased' by unexpected occurrences due to the justice they believe in. We're writing [the story] to convey a thrilling everyday life in the shoes of these characters, that are as large as life, in this juvenile school setting."
Hashino also assured gamers that "Persona 5" will have "evolved graphics and sound" and "more ill-behaved" party members, Siliconera wrote.
