Chris Pratt showed his funnier and more adorable side in a sketch featuring Jason Statham in a steak ad, which was originally cut from the September season premiere of the "Saturday Night Live!"
The budding top Hollywood leading-man of this generation keeps getting more charming every time he does something — anything, actually.
This time, he becomes the eye candy of entertainment news reports worldwide after doing a spot-on impression of the British action star Jason Statham in a sketch for "SNL."
In the footage, the fake Jason Statham promotes a product called "Jason Statham's Jason Steakums," which was allegedly made from "100% cow face!"
With a husky British tongue, Pratt teaches audiences and possible buyers of the "Jason Steakums" how to eat a steak.
"'Put the steakum inside that open space that your mouth makes. Now, open and close your mouth as if you were talking. If you can't think of anything to say, just say 'Jason Statham's Jason Steakums,'" he explains in a gruff cockney accent, clearly enjoying what he is doing.
Removing Pratt's flat steak ad sketch from the final show, according to USA Today's EntertainThis section, is a bad decision especially after they replaced it with nothing less than "three nurses at a vet hospital cheerfully greet pet owners and tell them that their animals are dead."
"Moral of the story: if you take one actor the internet loves, and have him impersonate another actor the internet loves, it's probably going to be funny," the entertainment site explained.
According to Salon.com, the clip was removed from the show's September season premiere, but was recently released on the video-sharing website, YouTube.
"We're never sure why some 'SNL' sketches don't make the cut, and this latest offering from the NBC gods only reinforces our confusion," the report claims.
Business Insider, on the other hand, believes it was cut because it was "a little messy" but nonetheless "worth watching" particularly because the actor nails it.
"It's silly, and a little misguided. But it works because Pratt nails the impression," Business Insider's Matt Johnston wrote Tuesday.
Time also believes that Pratt made an amazing impression of the action star, noting that the best part of the sketch was how he keep on saying, "Jason Statham's Jason Steakums" repeatedly.
For some unknown reason, the clip was released for public viewing on June 30 and immediately generated 450,000 views in just one day, proving yet again how Pratt was able to tickle the audience's funny bones by simply being adorable.
So without further ado, here is the entire sketch for your enjoyment.
