BET Awards 2015: List of Winners, Red Carpet Fashion & Memorable Performances at the Event

Finally, the winners of the BET Awards 2015 are announced and trophies were finally handed out. Also, some celebrities made a statement during the red carpet walk, while others delivered strong performances during the event.
Without further ado, here is the full list of winners and nominees for the BET awards 2015 courtesy of US Magazine.
Sam Smith won the Best New Artist Award; other nominees included Fetty Wap, Rae Sremmurd, Dej Loaf, and Tinashe.
Nicki Minaj won the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist Award; other nominees were Azealia Banks, Iggy Azalea, Tink, Dej Loaf and Trina.
Kendrick Lamar took home the Best Male Hip-Hop Artist Award, while J. Cole, Common, Drake, Wale and Big Sean were the runners-up.
The Best Female R&B and Pop Artist Award went to Beyoncé. Janelle Monae, Ciara, Jhene Aiko, K. Michelle and Rihanna were the nominees for this award.
The Best Male R&B Artist Award went to Chris Brown. Other nominees included The Weeknd, Trey Songz, Usher, John Legend, and August Alsina.
The winner of Video of the Year Award was Beyoncé for her video "7/11." The other nominees included Chris Brown with "New Flame (feat. Usher & Rick Ross)," Chris Brown with another entry called "Loyal (feat. Lil Wayne & Tyga)," Big Sean with "I Don't F**k with You (feat. E-40)," Nicki Minaj with "Anaconda" and Common & John Legend with their video "Glory."
With Beyonce winning the Video of the Year Award, the Video Director of the Year Award automatically went to her as well, along with Ed Burke & Todd Tourso. Other nominees were Benny Boom, Chris Robinson, Fatima Robinson and Hype Williams.
Moving on to the movie awards, the Best Actress Award was given to Taraji P. Henson, while other nominees included Gabrielle Union, Kerry Washington, Tracee Ellis Ross and Viola Davis.
The Best Movie Award went to "Selma." Other nominees were "Annie," "Beyond the Lights," "Think Like a Man Too" and "Top Five."
Terrence Howard wins the Best Actor award while the runner-ups are Idris Elba, Kevin Hart, Anthony Anderson and Jussie Smollett.
Next up are the awards for prominent sports personalities. For the Sportswoman of the Year, Serena Williams took home the award; other nominees were Brittney Griner, Candace Parker, Skylar Diggins and Venus Williams.
For the male counterpart of that award, the winner was NBA MVP Stephen Curry, leaving Chris Paul, Floyd Mayweather Jr., LeBron James and Marshawn Lynch as nominees.
Meanwhile, Blac Chyna and Amber Rose caught a lot of attention during the red carpet event as they made a statement by kissing each other on the lips. The longtime friends wore all-white crop tops, pants, blazers and heels. US Magazine noted that it was to show their support to the recently legalized same-sex marriage all over the United States.

Speaking of memorable performances, Kendrick Lamar kicked off the show by performing his latest single, "Alright." Also, Chris Brown and Tyga performed "Ayo" from their joint album, "Fan of a Fan."
