Casting calls ignite speculations that a second villain would be joining Thanos the Mad Titan in combatting the mighty band of heroes in the next Marvel's Avengers film, "Infinity War."

After several films worth of wait, the epic movie franchise is now expected to showcase "the puppet master" Thanos in the two-part Avengers flick, "Infinity Wars," a report from Cinema Blend stated.

The blockbuster hit "Avengers: Age of Ultron" made sure of it as the looming villain was shown going about the incompetency of his minions during the mid-credits stinger of the film, where he confirmed that he would "get the job done" himself, a recent report from Collider revealed.

But that is not the only thing keeping Marvel fans gripping the edge of their seats.

According to IGN, rumors had surfaced about a possible second villain after the "rough-around-the-edges" website Acting-Auditions.org said that the movie, the first in a two-part sequel, would have Thanos as the major villain, along with the Magus, Adam Warlock's evil alter-ego.

"Magus creates doppelgangers of Earth's heroes as part of his plan to recreate a universe of evil," the report continued.

These, says Collider, are still mere rumors until an official statement or casting from Marvel is released, explaining that while putting Thanos as the major villain is a "safe bet," adding Magus into the mix is a longer shot.

On the other hand, the audience had already been prepped for more artificial life in "Age of Ultron," whereas Magus coincidentally is "an artificially perfect human" who decided that his creators should not live much longer.

Avid Marvel fans may also have noticed that this powerful villain, also referred to as "Him," already had a couple of run-ins with the Avengers as well as Thanos and the ever-so-powerful and in-demand Infinity Gems so it is not impossible that he would be joining the mad god in his quest to destroy the superheroes.

Collider also noted other efforts in gradually inserting Magus not only in the "Avengers" movie franchise, but also in other Marvel films such as "Guardians of the Galaxy" which starred already-budding superstar Chris Pratt.

In the film's credit scenes, a huge yellow cocoon housed in The Collector's gallery is seen to have split open. This cocoon actually encases Warlock, "Guardians of the Galaxy" helmer James Gunn told the International Business Times.

ScreenRant explained that the cocooned creature may as well be a new hero who would be introduced in the next installment of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" in the person of Adam Warlock but his alter-ego would surely be a major villain in all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
