Melissa Benoist is an unlikely choice for a superhero, and it seems that after the disappointing leaked pilot, fans are not too happy about the outcome of CBS' new superhero series, either.

This has put a lot of pressure for cast members, especially since other DC Comics heroes have been doing well in their networks. "Arrow" is gearing up for its fourth season, while its spinoff, "The Flash," got picked up for a second season soon after the pilot episode took off.

Speaking of "The Flash," Unreality TV UK noted that "Supergirl" is going to have a "The Flash" feel to it, which became apparent almost as soon as the story started: The voice-overs and light-hearted treatment matched its cousin series from CW.

"Constantine" already got cancelled, and according to Tech Times, after the pilot reviews for "Supergirl," there isn't a guarantee that the show could have succeeding seasons.

However, with an early leak and early reviews, production can still do something to up the ante, and here are some things we know for sure that could get everyone talking:

1) Mechad Brooks, who plays the character James Olsen, has revealed to IGN that he will definitely have a good part in the series as he will serve as a mentor for Benoist's character. Brooks said, "Superman asked my character to come and watch over his cousin, who he cares about very much, and help her reach her potential. So it isn't about me as it is I'm a tool to help her get there."

2) While Kara and her alter-ego is endearing, Screen Rant figured out that the timeline of the show does not match up with others in the DC Cinematic Universe. The website calculated that in "Man of Steel," Clark Kent is supposed to be around 33 years old and should have donned his cape around the same time as Kara did, although in the series, he did so earlier.

3) Supergirl is set to have a love triangle, as noted by The Hollywood Reporter, between her office pal Winn (played by Jeremy Jordan) who obviously really likes her, and Daily Planet photographer / Clark Kent BFF Jimmy Olsen who she seems to be very taken with.

Benoist spoke about her excitement to work in the series. In an interview with IGN, she said that there's a lot of pressure for her performance in the show, "the good kind to just blow everyone out of the water and inspire some people."

"Supergirl" will debut on October 26 on CBS.
