The long wait for the Moto X 2015 3rd Generation could be over soon as the price of the 2nd Generation has already dropped to $209.99.

Yibada mentioned in a recent report that the current installment had a major price reduction on eBay. The site also added that this is the "refurbished" version of the phone or one that is restored by Motorola or a company-approved seller.

This price is not bad for a phone which was previously tagged at around $600. The handset sports a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 with a 2.5 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, Android Origin dished that the upcoming device will have a fingerprint sensor, which is now common in new phones. This sensor reportedly allows users to make transactions and authentications for a number of services. Mentioning a leak of the device, the same report explained that it does not show a fingerprint sensor but reveals "an empty hole where the hardware is supposed to go, and this suggests there is a very high chance of Motorola including this technology in the device."

GottaBeMobile indicated that Motorola's 2015 smartphone could be released sooner than the expected 2015 release with leaks appearing in various online sites.

Listing some of the features of the device, Gospel Herald said it is expected to have a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and is capable of recording in 1080p. This is surely better than the 2nd Gen's 13 MP and the Moto X's 10 MP camera. The site added that its shooter could even have a similar performance than the Samsung Salaxy S6 though these reports remain unconfirmed.

A photo shown by STJS Gadgets revealed that the 3rd Generation Moto X would be capable of 4K recording at 30 frames per second, 1080p recording at 60 and 120 frames per second and 720p recording at 240 frames per second. It is also believed to have a 5MP front-facing shooter.

Phone Arena and STJS Gadgets both noted that the phone may have a resolution panel of 1440 x 2560 and a pixel density of 565 ppi.

The handset is rumored to be powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset with 4 GB of RAM.

Motorola has yet to release a tentative price for the Moto X 2015 3rd Generation, but if the introductory price tag of the Moto X 2014 will be considered, then the 16GB variant will reportedly cost around $425 while the 32GB will be around $475.

With these features packed in one phone, Tech Radar said that the Moto X 3rd Generation will be a beast that will surely beat the LG G4, which is also expected to use the Snapdragon 808 chipset.
