Anyone who has ever watched any of the "Spider-Man" movies know that Peter Parker is a white male superhero, but in the comics, do you know that there is another Spider-Man named Miles Morales, and he's of Black Hispanic descent?

This is hardly news for comic book-readers, as the series that relaunched Spider-Man is going to have Morales as a half-black, half-Latino teenager, the New York Daily News noted. However, it seems that Marvel is not ready to have a non-white Avenger on the big screen anytime soon as a leaked legal agreement between Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Entertainment allegedly described Spidey as a "heterosexual Caucasian male." Variety also added that the contract between the two companies stated that he should have "Mandatory Spider-Man Character Traits" and is "not a homosexual" unless stated otherwise by Marvel.

While this spells out well for Peter Parker, what will happen to the agreement if "The Avengers" will call for Miles Morales as the new Spider-Man? CBC noted that in the Spider-Man revamp, Peter will still be the web-slinging hero, despite fans clamoring for Morales, although he is written up to be a younger version, maybe a teenager around the same age as Morales in the comics.

Morales as the "main" Spider-Man may not be on the big screen for a while but it will bring a lot of changes in the comic book world. After all, Marvel has switched up lately, with the addition of a female Thor (who was revealed to be original Thor's love interest Jane Foster), promoting Carol Danvers as Ms. Marvel to Captain Marvel, and introducing Muslim-American Kamala Khan as the new Ms. Marvel. African-American Falcon also already made his debut in the films, and will later succeed Steve Rogers as the new Captain America.

What else do we have to know about Morales other than the fact that he may put an end to Peter Parker in the future? CBC also came up with several information about the new "main" web-slinger, including the fact that he first appeared as a Spider-Man in an alternate universe in 2011. He has an African-American father and a Puerto Rican mother, and he inherited the Spider-Man alter-ego when Peter Parker was killed in the alternate universe.

Miles Morales may not be able to jump on to the big screen soon, however, he has already appeared in a couple of episodes on the Disney XD show, "Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors," voiced by Donald Glover.
