Taylor Swift may be America's sweetheart, but that doesn't mean she will keep mum when she is given the chance to speak up, and that's exactly what she did over the weekend.

The 25-year-old singer wrote a love letter to Apple Inc. via her Tumblr page, explaining the reason her last album, "1989" will not be available on the company's new music streaming service.

While Swift has no problem whatsoever about music streaming, her concern was targeted more on the fact that Apple will not be paying artists their due royalties during the three-month trial period - an act that she described as a "shocking, disappointing" one. She wrote, "Three months is a long time to go unpaid, and it is unfair to ask anyone to work for nothing."

Considered one of the most powerful young celebrities, Taylor seemed to have shaken the Cupertino-based company to its senses, as Apple Inc. executive Eddie Cue announced on Twitter less that 24 hours later that artists will be paid during the trial period.

Aside from expressing her views on Apple Music's free trial, Taylor also ensured that victims of the devastating killing in Charleston will feel her love.

She expressed her dismay over the shooting, which killed nine people, including the pastor in a church attack last June 17. She conveyed her sympathies via Twitter, saying that "this is an unbearable loss of lives and innocence."

A report from Mirror UK said that the suspect behind the shootings, 21-year-old Dylann Roof, has already been captured and taken into custody in Shelby, Charlotte.

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber is ready to let bygones be bygones, and wants to be friends with Taylor again. Taylor hasn't been a fan of the Canadian pop singer for a while now (considering who her BFF is), but it seems that Justin wants to ensure that there won't be any bad blood between them anymore, even teasing a possible collaboration with her in the future.

"Justin would like to be free of any beefs with people. It would be one less thing to worry about," an exclusive source for Hollywood Life said. In a tweet for Billboard, Bieber also said, "[S]he is great. Might be time to make things right and hit the stage together again."

Taylor is open to a collaboration, but there is one condition: BFF Selena Gomez should give her blessing. As a Hollywood Life source noted, Taylor would never go behind Selena's back and work with Justin without first getting her blessing,"
