UFC President Dana White will consider arranging the proposed boxing match between mixed martial arts superstar Anderson Silva and former boxing champion Roy Jones Jr.

Experts believe that the proposed boxing match between the 38-year-old Silva and the 45-year-old Jones is almost next to impossible, but White jumped into the bandwagon, saying that he feels obligated to make the Silva vs Jones showdown possible.

"These two drive me crazy. They drive me crazy. First of all, Roy Jones Jr. is a longtime friend of mine. When I was a 19-year-old kid in the boxing business, Roy Jones was very good to me. So I'm in this position where I feel like Roy wants to fight him, he wants to fight Roy-I feel like I'm in this position to try to make both of these guys happy. But it drives me crazy. I would love Roy Jones Jr. to focus on his next opponent and Anderson to focus on his. We'll talk about all this stuff. I know Roy's coming to the fight," White said in an interview with Fox Sports Live.

Silva and Jones have been challenging each other to a boxing match, but the proposed fight was shelved when the Brazilian MMA star suffered a devastating knockout loss to Chris Weidman in July, losing the middleweight title that he held since 2006.

In a recent interview with Boxing News, Jones said that he is still planning to pursue the showdown with Silva, but only if the UFC star rebounds in his rematch with Weidman at UFC 158.

"So if he beats Weidman, I've got to be ready for it because he's going to be coming for me and I want to be ready when he comes for me. I want to give him what he wants," Jones said. "He said that's his lifelong dream. We've got to make that happen. He's a great striker and a great defender."

Silva is set to face Weidman again on Dec. 28, while Jones is scheduled to face Zine Eddine Benmakhlouf for the World Boxing Union cruiserweight title on Dec. 21 in Moscow, Russia.
