If you think Nacho (from Nacho Libre) can't be in the same film as Walter White (Breaking Bad) then you 're wrong.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Jack Black and Bryan Cranston are going to unite for the third installment of "Kung Fu Panda 2."
In DreamWorks Animation's "Kung Fu Panda 3," furry martial artist Po (Jack Black), who happens to be a panda, has a chance meeting with his long-lost biological father, Li (Bryan Cranston). While their resemblance is uncanny, they also share the same level of smarts, and neither of them were able to recognize that they have been looking at each other all along.
In the recently released trailer, Po chanced upon Li when the latter was eating at his adoptive father's restaurant. Li introduced himself to Po, adding that he is looking for his son.
Wide-eyed, Po asked, "You lost your son?," to which the older panda answered, "Yes, many years ago."
Po shared that he lost his father as well, but that was it for them and they bade each other good-bye, which, of course, incited a lot of face-palms from onlookers. Of course, the bumbling panda with the big heart was never smart in the series, however, he eventually reconnects with his father, and the rest of the panda family.
While the trailer shows a reunion story for Black and Cranston, the rest of the film will showcase more talents, including his colleagues from the previous films: Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Lucy Liu as Viper, Seth Rogen as Mantis, David Cross as Crane, and Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu.
USA Today also noted newcomers in the film, whose stars already shine bright in Hollywood. "Whiplash" actor JK Simmons will play the villain - a paranormal bull named Kai, and Rebel Wilson, who will be playing another panda named Mei Mei.
Simmons said about his animated character, "I've played a variety of badasses in my career. I do like to mix it up. I like being a character actor playing different kinds of guys. Or, now, different kinds of beasts."
A synopsis which appeared on Techno Buffalo said that after Po and Li finally reunite, they will travel to a panda paradise, which will be threatened by Simmons' Kai, so Po must train his group of Pandas to become a band of Kung Fu Fighters.
The previous "Kung Fu Panda" films already gave us a lot of laughs. With a group of goofy pandas trying to do what Po did in the previous films, the third one should be even more hilarious.
"Kung Fu Panda 3" will hit theaters on January 29, 2016.
