LG is not giving up on the race of new smartphones just yet after reports revealed its latest "secret weapon" against Apple's iPhone 6S and Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 that is even bigger than the recently released LG G4.
LG is one of the leading manufacturers of smart devices worldwide, but the company seems to remain at second-best, lagging behind Samsung's shadow, a report from Techno Buffalo noted.
However, a separate report in March revealed that the electronics company is set to embark on a new project that will run LG's octa-core Odin processor, which Cho Jun-ho, LG mobile's chief himself, hinted about during the Mobile World Congress held on February 28.
"We are planning to release a product that stands above the G series," he claimed, explaining further that this mysterious device would be released before the end of 2015.
But back then, the company merely confirmed that there will be a much newer device than the LG G4 to be released though it did not offer further details about it.
Now, LG has revealed over the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo that their G4 mobile phone would have a "pro" version to match Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 and Apple's iPhone 6S, which are both expected to be released during the third quarter of 2015.
According to Forbes, the latest addition to the Korean company's exquisite and award-winning line of mobile phones is expected to have an even clearer "super snapper" than the 16MP of the original LG G4, whereas G4 Pro would flaunt a 27-megapixel camera.
While the quality of photos taken by a mobile camera does not solely depend on the number of pixels it can capture, Forbes believes that if LG sticks to or improves its f/1.8 aperture, their "secret weapon" is most likely going to sport a powerful camera.
LG is also expected to offer something better than the G4's 3GB of RAM and 6-core Snapdragon 808 processor which, according to GottaBeMobile.com, may be the smartphone's weak link.
Some information leaks from Tech Radar also dubbed the upcoming LG device to be 2015's best phone from the mobile manufacturing company.
Not only that, the report also cited other rumors surfacing about the LG G4 Pro's release which is expected to be in the latter part of October this year.
Other specs of this new LG phone include a huge 5.8-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD display, an 8MP front camera to snap the perfect selfie, and a new and improved 8-core Snapdragon 820 processor matched with 4GB of RAM.
