Aside from running on the finalized version of Android M, the upcoming Galaxy S7 will also reportedly feature an Ultra-High Definition (UHD) display.

In discussing the offerings of the device, AndroidPit said the UHD feature was earlier rumored to be part of the Galaxy Note 5, which creates a big possibility that it will also be incorporated in the Galaxy S7.

"The technology has been available on smartphones since 2014 and it won't be very 'sexy' for Samsung's marketing in 2016, especially if the Note 5 has Ultra HD. It's more likely that the Galaxy S7 will arrive with a glorious Super AMOLED UHD (3840×2160 pixels) screen," added Android Pit.

But the same report also indicated that the upcoming device could maintain its QHD display since Samsung is experimenting on various display properties especially the "flexible" one claimed to be used in the S7.

The site also added that there is a possibility that the phone will come with curved screens since Samsung reportedly made millions of orders of such material in Taiwan.

Believed to be released during the first quarter of 2016, the Galaxy S7 is rumored to have a 64bit Exynos processor with 3.5GHz processing power. It is also claimed to come with a 128 GB memory, as per Galaxys6samsung.

As for additional features, TheGalaxyS7 said that the new Samsung 6GB RAM module is expected to power up the Samsung Galaxy S7 and this will be paired up with the equally powerful processor.

According to ValueWalk, the device could also come with 4K resolution and a unique foldable screen technology. Other features expected to be seen in the Galaxy S7 include a 20-megapixel camera, an advanced Touch ID button, a wireless charging technology and a 256 GB variant. Galaxy6Samsung said the phone will be available for $999.

There were also earlier rumors that the Galaxy S7 will run in the latest operating system from Google, Android M, which is set to have a full release before the year ends.

The Verge said one of the major highlights of the device is "a redesigned apps permissions system," where users can either approve or deny a phone's security permission.

Under the upcoming platform, Google will also bring in a new Web browsing experience through Chrome.

"A new feature called 'Chrome Custom Tabs' lets developers insert webviews directly in their apps, giving them the full power of Chrome without having to force the user to switch apps. Chrome features like automatic sign-in, saved passwords, autofill, and multi-process security are all now available to app developers within their apps," explained The Verge.

It seems like even before its release, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is already believed to be a great device packed with top-of-the-line features, making it very competitive in the mobile market.
