Nearly three long years after the release of the 5th generation of the iPod Touch, rumors surfaced that Apple Inc. is brewing to launch a 6th generation alongside new iPhones that are sturdier.

According to Christian Today, reports about the coming of a new generation of the iPod smart device surfaced even though Apple did not reveal any news about this during their annual Worldwide Developers Conference for 2015.

The report noted how the conference did not mention or make any reference to the iPod Touch 6th gen and seemed to focus only on the release of their upcoming digital products: the iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan.

According to rumors cited by the media outlet, the new iPod Touch model priced at $299 would come out in the latter part of 2015, particularly before the holidays arrive.

As of writing, the only confirmed release for that period is a new model of iPad Mini with the additional rumor of the revelation of an iPad Pro.

Patrons of the smart device manufacturing company also believe that the 6th generation iPod Touch would have more features that would make it a huge competitor of the best media players and smartphones at present.

Among these features include the Touch ID fingerprint sensor to enhance the device's security and a "more dynamic" version of the company's exclusive digital assistant Siri.

CrossMap.com also got word that Apple would be including an 8-megapixel iSight camera in the iPod Touch 6th gen, ditching the musically-dedicated device that is the late CEO and founder of the company Steve Jobs' brainchild.

Aside from these new features, CrossMap.com also revealed that the company is rumored to be eyeing a release of the iPod 6th generation alongside the new and improved iPhone 7 in September.

Talking about the iPhone, Techno Buffalo revealed rumors of a statement from Apple's tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, claiming that the iPhone 6s would be released with an improved body-make by adopting a 7000 series aluminum/zinc alloy.

The report also explained that the new line of iPhone 6 devices would have a build with larger dimensions than its predecessor at 0.15mm taller and 0.2mm thicker, though it would sport a similar design.

While this makes the phone popular for its thinness, says the report, it assures the prevention of a similar PR nightmare for the company after the BendGate issue where the first batch of iPhone 6 were reported to be less sturdy than customers expected it to be.
