The latest hotfix for the "Destiny" game has recently been unveiled by Bungie. The brand-new patch called Hot Fix 1.2.0.3 focuses specifically on the adjustments of "Prison of Elders" and its Level 35 Skolas Challenge, Gamezone reported.

Thanks to the new patch, the "Ashes to Assets" and "Quintessence Transfer" can no longer be stacked and is now equipped with a cool-down system that can be used every 10 seconds, Bungie wrote. A bug in "Prison of Elders" was also fixed, wherein players are unable to pick up a quest from Variks to carry on the Elder Cipher chain.

For the adjusted difficulty of the Level 35 Skolas Challenge, Bungie noted that Burn Skulls will now be replaced by non-elemental skulls, while Skolas' health will reduce from 27000 to 15000 to make up for the absence of burn skulls. Reinforcement spawns, meanwhile, are now based on Skolas' health as a substitute for a timer.

Bungie's "Destiny" update was announced last week during the game developer's Weekly Update, PlayStation Lifestyle reported. Due to the patch, Bungie said on Twitter that "Destiny" will go through maintenance with the game taken offline for one hour, adding that users should finish their games "to avoid getting kicked mid-activity."

Bungie is yet to release full patch notes, but they previously said that the update will show a more challenging Skolas encounter that entails teamwork. To achieve this, Bungie said that changes will be integrated to Round 6 of the Skolas Challenge. From now on, "minions will spawn at predictable health intervals," while minor adjustments will be done "to the unit makeup of the combatant waves," creative director Christopher Barrett said, a separate report from Bungie indicated.

New modifier combinations, such as Arc, Void, and Solar Burn, will now be removed. To summarize, Bungie wrote: "Skolas is about to get a shorter life sentence. To ensure that he'll still have a fighting chance, there will be some more skulls for you to juggle. Your battle with the final boss changes next week."

Bungie to Release 'The Taken King?'

According to Softpedia, Bungie has been developing both "Trials of Osiris" and "Prison of Elders" for a few months now. Both games have been added in "House of Wolves" on May 19. After this, the company could be moving its attention to the second expansion of "The Taken King," which is said to be launched in the middle of September 2015. There are expectations that the game will be officially revealed at the E3 2015 press conference from Sony.

Softpedia added that the idea for "The Taken King" is "to introduce an entirely new set of levels that gamers can explore and at least one new core feature." Aside from this, "gamers will also get subclasses that they can use for their characters in order to make them more unique in combat," the news outlet claimed.
