T-Mobile has hit the update track again. The nationwide wireless service provider has started pushing out Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy Note 2s on its network.
T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 2 owners should soon start seeing download notifications pop up on their devices for the new firmware. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, like all Android releases, will be pushed out in batches, with only a small percentage getting the new firmware at first. It shouldn't be long, however, before everybody has a chance to snag it over the air. As usual, you'll want to have your device charged and tethered to a Wi-Fi connection before downloading.
The release of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 makes T-Mobile the third U.S. carrier to have done so. Both Sprint and U.S. Cellular have already rolled out their updates, leaving only Verizon and AT&T, the largest two wireless service providers in the United States, as the remaining holdouts. Leaks and evidence suggest AT&T isn't too far off from releasing the update and Verizon will, once again, most likely be the last one to do so.
Although there is no official changelog from Samsung or T-Mobile concerning the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the T-Mobile patch shouldn't be too different from Sprint's or U.S. Cellular's. Here's the changelog for the U.S. Cellular Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update:
"- Galaxy Gear Compatibility
- Premium Suite Features
- PEN. UP
- Group Play 2.5
- Multi-Window (Note 3 Version)
- Camera - Sound & Shot
- Group Messaging
- Samsung Link Preload
- New Easy Mode
- Samsung Apps"
