Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, this early on, expressed that his team has "the talent to win the Super Bowl" for the upcoming season after a heartbreaking loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game of the previous season.

According to ESPN, he said that his team is a strong contender for the championship title. Rodgers emphasised that he occasionally thinks about the lost chance last season. "Not a whole lot," he mentioned.

"I think the talent is definitely there. But just like last year, you've got to see how the team comes together," Rodgers added, as per The Blow Sports.

He noted that his teammates raise their level of play when they work together as a team, "so it will be interesting to see how this team comes together. It's very important that we find a way to jell together the next couple of weeks and into training camp when we get back."

He won his second NFL MVP last season but it has been a long time since he grabbed the Super Bowl title. At 31 and with five years left on his $110-million contract extension, the quarterback is surely wasting no time to keep his eye on the grand prize.

"Well, I don't like to think in those terms. I'd like to think we're going to get back there and win another one. I'd be disappointed if we didn't because you put a lot into it, and we feel like we've been close a few times and had some good teams and let a couple slip away. So it would be disappointing to not get back there, but I'm trying to avoid that and get back there as quick as possible and win another one," he said.

Rodgers also said that if he were given the chance to do it all again, he would keep the offence wide open.

"We didn't do anything those two series. Negative run, negative run and then slightly positive run and a punt. And then run, run, pass incomplete [and a punt]. It just would have been nice to stay in spread [out] and see if we could get a couple of first downs to close it out," the quarterback explained.

He added that their defensive strategy was done "so well." "I think we were relying on them to stop them, but we sure would have helped them out if we could've just moved the ball. Even one first down would've taken off a couple more minutes," Rodgers added.

Meanwhile, NBC Sports discussed that the Packers can certainly make a run for the title if they have less injuries and score more points during the games. Well, Rodgers seems to be serious in planning for the upcoming season.
