Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is expected to be the first athlete to be part of the "Call of Duty" video game franchise as he is set to appear as a character in the "Call of Duty: Black Ops III."

According to ESPN, the first-person shooter game is eyed to be released in November with Lynch making his debut in the blockbuster franchise.

The running back showed up at the Activision Motion Capture Studio in Los Angeles for the motion capture process saying he was "Really glad to be here."

Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia said they are also glad with Lynch's participation in the game.

"For Marshawn's role, we needed an imposing figure. When we learned he's a huge fan, we thought it'd be awesome to have him inside our game," Lamia told ESPN.

Lynch added that this new experience is "a cool way to keep in contact."

"It's a fun-loving way to let off some stress. You're shooting up everything but always fighting for a bigger picture. The whole game is Beast Mode," the NFL player noted.

In a similar report, Gamespot said Lynch will play a role of a mercenary in the upcoming game release.

"Marshawn Lynch is the perfect match for Call of Duty. I mean, he's a guy who fills stadiums, crushes competitors, and has a Beast Mode. What could be more CoD than that?" Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg said.

Yahoo Sports added that Lynch went through the whole process of capturing "360-degree and 3-D images of his facial features, frame and his movements" prior to acting out while armed with plastic handguns in a scene with a virtual crew.

It was explained in The Verge report that Lynch will appear in a situation where he is drinking beer and smoking with some people inside a bar in Singapore.

"In walks a few 'bosses,' prompting everyone to stand up and start shooting each other. That's the gist of the scene where you'll find Lynch (or at least the character he's playing) in Call of Duty: Black Ops III," added The Verge.

It said the capture process took the scene with Lynch appearing as a crucial character on the said video game installment.

More announcements on Lynch's participation in the game are expected to be announced soon with ESPN highlighting it in a feature in the ESPN The Magazine's gaming edition.

The magazine will also feature YouTube gaming star PewDiePie with accounts from NBA star Kevin Durant and the NFL's Patrick Peterson and why they love playing video games.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops III" will launch on November 6 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Gamers will be more excited to get hold of the game because Lynch is part of it.
