R&B performer Chris Brown has admitted to his mistakes that caused his split with Karrueche Tran and confessed that he still has feelings for her, the Hollywood Life reported Tuesday.

Over half a week after having a loud fight in front of Tran's Los Angeles home, the 26-year-old singer has expressed his intention to win his girl back and admitted that he is to blame for their breakup in an interview with Ryan Seacrest.

"I'm going to be honest and be a man about it and just take it one day at a time. I can't promise anything and I can't jump over the moon, but it takes time for all wounds [to heal]. I take full responsibility for my actions and things that I've done in the past. I feel like it's just a time thing," Brown said, adding that he still loves Tran and would do anything to win her back.

The former couple's fight began when Brown showed up in a night club in Los Angeles known as the Playhouse on June 5 where he had been spotted sitting adjacent to Tran. Not wanting to engage in a conversation with her ex, the 27-year-old American model immediately left the place, TMZ reported.

Insistent, the singer forced his way to Tran's SUV but was later dropped off with his friends, TMZ sources revealed. The incident escalated almost immediately to a full-blown commotion after he followed her to her L.A. house, screaming and banging at the gates at around 3:30 a.m. because she won't let him in.

Still trying to evade her ex, Tran then proceeded to the famous Norm's Diner where a full shouting confrontation climaxed because the R&B singer followed her there as well.

According to the report from Ryan Seacrest's official webpage, the couple's break up rooted from the news that Brown has a child with Nia Gonzalez named Royalty who recently celebrated her first birthday.

Shocked and apparently not wishing to be a mother any time soon, Tran took to Twitter to express her thoughts on the matter saying: "No baby mama drama."

Apparently, the model felt betrayed because Royalty's mother was one of her close friends.

Unfazed by Tran's evasion, Brown expressed what would keep him busy on Ryan Seacrest On Air, saying: "I'm not a hateful person. Of course I still love her, but mentally right now, I think everything takes time. I just need to focus on being the best father I can be."
