Grand Theft Auto 5 is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, games to come out in 2013, and Rockstar is looking to keep that success going in 2014 by adding new DLC content for the game that will include story-based missions as well as several new features for Grand Theft Auto Online.

Rockstar recently detailed its plans for the game through a new Newswire post. The first update will be for the Deathmatch & Race Creator Beta, which will allow users to test out the ability to create maps and content for these modes. The new DLC will be available in the very near future, and the best user-created content will become Rockstar Verified Jobs and shared among the entire community of users for Grand Theft Auto Online.

The developer of the game is planning a second piece of free DLC content for the game in December, and it involves the Capture game mode. Capture is a take on capture the flag modes found in other games, but in Grand Theft Auto 5 the flag can be contraband, vehicles, or even objects in a rival crew's base. The four modes for Capture mode announced are Raid, Contend, Hold and GTA, though what each of these modes signifies has yet to be revealed by Rockstar.

Rockstar also announced some of the big content updates planned for the game in 2014. The long promised heists for Grand Theft Auto Online were discussed, and Rockstar briefly updated fans on the status of these missions appearing in the game:

"We know many of you in the GTA Online community are super excited for the debut of co-operative Heists. Heists are currently in development and we are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be. Stay tuned for much more detail in the New Year."

In addition, Rockstar announced that it will be adding story-based DLC to the game for the single player portion of Grand Theft Auto 5:

"For those ready to jump back into the story of Grand Theft Auto V, we have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor's action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas."

It will be interesting to see what sort of new story DLC Rockstar drops on fans, especially considering how the ending of Grand Theft Auto 5 could play out depending on the user's choice.
