Naya Rivera has a memoir coming.
Rivera announced the news on her official Twitter page on June 9, guaranteeing that the memoir titled "Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up" will feature "juicy stories" about the "Glee" star's life, as well as how she dealt with being a grown up.
According to Publisher's Weekly, the 28-year-old actress will open up about her early days in the entertainment industry, particularly as a cast member of 1990s sitcoms "Family Matters" and "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." The book will also shed light on Rivera's "path from riches to rags and back again" and how she became a Hooters waitress before snagging a role as Santana Lopez in Fox's "Glee," the news outlet added.
Publisher's Weekly added that the memoir will feature a "warts-and-all" account of Rivera's life, offering "candid thoughts on topics ranging from dating... to the challenges of being mixed-race in Hollywood." "Sorry Not Sorry" is scheduled for a spring 2016 release.
Rivera is now expecting her first child with husband Ryan Dorsey, whom she married in July 2014 in a secret wedding ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, which was only attended by 12 guests and the officiating minister, Daily Mail noted. Before Dorsey, Rivera also dated "Glee" co-star Mark Salling and was engaged to rapper Big Sean, Us Weekly wrote.
The actress now stars in Lifetime's "Devious Maids" alongside Ana Ortiz, Roselyn Sánchez, and Susan Lucci. Rivera portrays Blanca, "a new maid in the neighborhood who has landed a job with the seemingly picture-perfect Beverly Hills family," according to a report from Deadline. She will soon discover a terrible secret that could significantly impact her life.
Rivera and Dorsey had been good friends for four years before they started dating each other, PEOPLE wrote. The actress said in January 2014 that she wants to speak Spanish more fluently so that she could teach her future kids the language.
"It sucks because I have no one to (speak Spanish) to, but it's something I need to learn when I have kids. They need to be fluent," Rivera said, as quoted by Fox News Latino.
Jenna Ushkowitz, Rivera's co-star on "Glee," previously expressed her excitement over the actress' pregnancy.
"I found out through her Instagram and I texted her, and I said, 'Oh my goodness, what's going on?'" Ushkowitz told E! News at Kindred: The Foundation for Adoption Fundraiser last March. "I know she's wanted one for a long time and she just got married. I wish her the best. And she's going to be a great mom."
