Hitmaker Ludacris and his wife, Eudoxie Mbouguiyenegue, are now the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl.
The new mother announced the news Thursday on Instagram, with a snap of a pink "baby girl" balloon tied to their dog. She captioned it, "She is here. #blessed #grateful."
Citing a source, US Weekly reported that the couple named their little bundle of joy Cadence Gaelle Bridges, (Ludacris's real name is Christopher Bridges), and she entered the world weighing a healthy seven pounds and four ounces.
The name Gaelle, according to Baby Name Wizard, is used primarily in French-speaking countries, and it means "A Father's Joy".
To celebrate the arrival of his first child, Ludacris shared a TBT baby photo of his wife and her mother, captioning it with "#tbt now Eudoxie will be switching places. #blessings #love #life"
The Los Angeles Times reported that there have been few confirmed details regarding the couple's baby, however, the first-time mom did thank Ludacris' "Furious 7" co-star, Vin Diesel via Instagram, for sending the couple beautiful flowers for the baby.
The 37-year-old rapper already has two daughters, Karma and Kai, from previous relationships. He also admitted to Ellen de Generes that he is "a pretty romantic guy."
"I'm a creative guy. You gotta be creative, you gotta be different. And these things stick with women for the rest of their lives so I had to go above and beyond."
Speaking of going above and beyond, that's what he did during his proposal to Eudoxie near Christmas last year. He shared, "We were on our way to Costa Rica, and I had written in the grass her name and 'will you marry me?' So once she saw it and we looped around, of course she burst out into tears and was just extremely happy. So it was a pretty original idea."
Although he made it sound like such a simple gesture, reports from the Los Angeles Times noted that it was actually mile-high writing on a blooming landscape that Eudoxie saw while they were airborne in a private jet.
The couple married later on the same day as Ludacris already has a surprise dress waiting on hand.
"Why wait? Did the thing before 2015. #mrandmrsrbridges," posted Ludacris, also on Instagram.
It wasn't until March (and past the second trimester) that the couple announced that they were expecting a baby.
Congratulations are in order for the happy couple!
