Both Sony's PS4 and Microsoft's Xbox One are reportedly up for major improvements and upgrades in the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo which will happen from June 16–18.

According to DigitalTrends, the controller of Xbox One lacks a 3.5mm headphone port and this has been a long pointed-out concern by gamers. The same site noted that an update on the Xbox Support site described 3.5mm port next to an expansion port located at the bottom of the controller. The description revealed that it will support 3.5-mm audio devices and will be available for controllers "released after June 2015."

Meanwhile, Sony's PS4 is reportedly getting internal tweaks with Digital Trends saying that Sony is now preparing two new models with numbers CUH-1215A and CUH-1215B that will be made available later this year.

The CUH-1215B has a rumored 1TB hard drive, which is something to be happy about because it is twice the storage capacity of available consoles in the market.

"Both list lower power (230 watts versus 230) and amperage (2.3-0.95 amps from 2.5-1.15 amps) requirements, and a negligible reduction in weight (2.5kg, down from 2.8kg)," added DigitalTrends.

The two consoles also reportedly have issues on other areas like the the lack of loudspeaker for the Xbox One system requiring gamers to buy a headset at an additional expense. The PS4, on the other hand, cannot easily expand its storage which makes it hard for players to download more games.

All these concerns will hopefully be resolved in the upcoming E3 to avoid further problems in the future.

Meanwhile, amid these concerns, Windows 10 will reportedly be integrated into the Xbox system and will enable players to in-home stream from console to PC and do cross-platform chat and sharing with other players.

"We want to make clear that when we talk about Xbox going forward, we're talking about gaming on all Windows 10 devices-PCs, tablets, phones, Xbox One, and HoloLens. And we'll talk about some of the games we have coming to the PC this year," said Microsoft head of Xbox Phil Spencer, as per ArsTecnica.

Spencer added that through this, they will be able to unify the platforms for gamers to play what they want on any Windows 10 device.

Meanwhile, there is some exciting news for the Xbox One as the upcoming "Crackdown" game is said to be making "great progress," according to GameSpot. The said game is reportedly the third game in the series which offers "co-op campaign, online multiplayer and destructible environments."

The game is also expected to make an appearance during the E3 event, with original "Crackdown" designer Dave Jones returning to work on the upcoming installment. This just makes things for this console more exciting especially for fans who are patiently waiting for updates and developments.
