Rumors of "Destiny" expansion pack seems to have been confirmed as U.S. packs of Red Bull energy drinks seem to have surfaced with news of "The Taken King."

Reddit Users spotted promotional code info on the packaging, which offered bonus experience points and an "epic quest" in the yet to be announced expansion packs. The website URL can also be seen in the packaging. It is a working link, although it is still "under construction."

The name "The Taken King" has already surfaced and Neogaf user kifimbo posted details on a thread in May. On October 1, 2014, a leak, which appeared on Destiny - Lega dei Guardiani Facebook page, showed an expansion called "Comet: Plague of Darkness," and it included new subclasses, weapon types, PvP maps, mission, and locations. Several reports are now assuming that the two rumored expansions could be one and the same.

Gamespot also reported that in May, a Destiny developer already trademarked "The Taken King with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, adding to the possibility that it is going to be the official name of the expansion pack. The developer, Bungie, has also teased "major content release" for online shooters in the fall, most likely by September.

The trademark filing for "The Taken King" include "Downloadable video games via the internet and wireless devices; Electronic game software for cellular telephones; Electronic game software for handheld electronic devices; Electronic game software for wireless devices; Game software; Interactive game programs; Interactive video game programs; Video game software," Cinema Blend listed.

While "The Taken King" is still in the works, Cinema Blend also noted that players will enjoy the "Destiny" extension that will be released soon, called "House of Wolves." It is said to take players back to Reef for new mission and end-game activities, including the weekend Crucible competition called "Trials of Osiris" and "Prison of Elders."

Forbes added that planning documents suggest that "The Taken King" is somewhere around Destiny "1.5" as it seems to bridge the gap of the original release with the planned sequel that is set to be out by next year.

Photos from Red Bull about "The Taken King" seems legit, Game Informer told its readers, as the box shots seem convincing, with pro-gamer Michael "Flamesword" Chaves' likeness adding to its credibility. However, without official word from Activision, the website cautioned that there is a possibility that these photos are mere fakes.

Do you think these leaked photos for "The Taken King" are legit, or is this a mean joke that someone has cooked up?
