With only a few months left until the premiere of "Star Wars: Episode VII," the cast and crew have been tight-lipped about revealing potential spoilers. However, it seems that no matter how hard they try, there is no way to keep information under wraps, considering how big a film Star Wars is.
According to Ecumenical News, Simon Pegg, who is penning the script, will appear in a cameo, along with James Bond actor, Daniel Craig, who will be seen in the film as a Stormtrooper.
Entertainment Weekly reported that at a promotional event for "Man Up," Pegg was asked whether or not he will have the chance to play a Stormtrooper on account of his friendship with director JJ Abrams. That was when he let slip some major news, saying, "I wasn't a Stormtrooper, Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper." He then retracted by saying that he shouldn't have let that spill.
Other people believed that Pegg was only joking about Craig's involvement. As pointed out by EW, both "Star Wars Episode VII" and the next James Bond film, "Spectre" are shot in parts at Pinewoods Studio, so Craig could easily slip in between takes for a cameo.
James Bond fans would be thrilled. However, this is not entirely a surprise as Craig's involvement has been in the rumor mill for a long time now, considering his relationship with Abrams and his desire to take part in the hit franchise.
According to Metro, a source close to "Star Wars" said as much, sharing, "Daniel is close friends with JJ Abrams. He asked for some sort of secret cameo role - and was happy to have his name left off the posters. Fans will love playing the guessing game trying to work out which covered-up character is Daniel."
There is also the possibility of a fan favorite's return. The Guardian noted that there are rumors of Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams) returning for "Episode 7" as co-screenwriter for the film. Lawrence Kasdan said that this will not mark the last time for the iconic former smuggler turned rebel leader to make its appearance. According to Kasdan, "Lando, I don't think, is finished in any way, shape, or form."
Millions of fans are looking forward for the upcoming film, and it seems that someone got his hands on some footage as well. Western Daily Press noted that a video was released and it looked suspiciously like "The Force Awakens." However, that remains to be confirmed, so check it out here and tell us what you think. Is this clip part of the upcoming film to be released in December? Check out the leaked video here.
