Apple has seeded the third beta of OS X 10.10.4 to developers on Monday, MacRumors reported. According to the outlet, the release follows approximately two weeks since the arrival of the second beta and three weeks after the first.
To some, Apple may appear aggressive at this rate, and it brings us to thoughts of what's slated in the company's upcoming WWDC event in San Francisco, California. For a fact, we know that the occasion brings word about the future of iOS and OS X, on top of more than 100 technical sessions, over 1,000 Apple engineers, hands-on labs and the highly-anticipated Apple Design Awards.
Dubbed as build 14E17e, the beta may be downloaded via the Software Update section in the Mac App Store or direct through the Mac Developer Center, MacRumors noted.
As told by Cult of Mac, the update brings improvement in stability, compatibility and security of Macs. Bug fixes, as almost usual, are packed in the new beta, too.
Relating to the release, Apple requested developers to focus on Photos, Migration and languages such as Arabic and Hebrew, Cult of Mac said. The Cupertino giant has not disclosed details about new features in its seed note.
It must be noted that the new beta is also available for public testing, according to iDownloadBlog.
In addition to OS X 10.10.4 beta 3 and iOS 8.4 beta 3, Apple has also released iOS 8.4 public beta 2 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and Xcode 6.4 beta 3 for developers, iDownloadBlog wrote.
International Business Times reported that the iOS 8.4 beta 3, meanwhile, brings a "major overhaul" in Apple's music application. This move is seen as a precursor to the relaunching of Beats Music rivaling Spotify and Tidal.
The new iOS beta runs compatibly with the iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iPad 2, third-generation iPad, fourth-generation iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display and fifth-generation iPod touch, iPhone Hacks listed.
While most expectations in the looming WWDC talk about software upgrades, rumors have it that Apple could launch several devices in its slate.
Followers would remember that speculations over the long-awaited iPad Pro (aka iPad Air Plus) are all over the web, with The Inquirer noting its expected release in the upcoming event. As previously reported, the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro refresh is also touted for appearance at the conference.
The iPhone 6s / iPhone 7, iPad Air 3, iPad mini 4 and sixth-generation iPod touch are also expected to arrive this year.
