Former Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and St. Louis Cardinals star Jim Edmonds will be appearing in the upcoming season of "The Real Housewives of Orange Country" along with his wife Meghan King Edmonds.
The 4-time All Star center fielder and 8-time Gold Clove winner and his wife, according to TMZ, will be "full time" cast members of the TV series.
KSDK.com added that the next season of the show, produced by St. Louis native Andy Cohen, will be exciting especially for baseball fans because of Edmonds' inclusion in the new cast.
Married in October last year, the couple reportedly splits their time between St. Louis and Orange County.
Meanwhile, STL Today noted that there are plans to have a viewing party at Winfield's Gathering Place in Kirkwood where Edmonds is an owner.
Get to know Meghan
Meghan is already the third wife of Edmonds who has four children from his previous marriages, reported The Big Lead.
According to "The Real Housewives of Orange County" website, "Her towering height and model good looks might intimidate, but she won't let anyone take her up to bat. As Jim's third wife, she is closer in age to her 17-year old step-daughter Hailey, than to her husband. With Jim often away for work, Meghan has been thrown into the role of instant stepmom and is not only struggling to find her place in her newly formed family, but also within the OC social scene."
The stunning blonde beauty is "not afraid to shake things up a little or poke fun of herself," Daily Mail wrote. In a clip of the show, Meghan shared how her relationship with Edmonds started, and it was not how she originally envisioned.
"I promised myself I would never marry a man who was 11 years older than me and I would never marry a professional athlete. I broke all my rules because Jim Edmonds asked me out on a date," she shared.
She is reportedly part of "the biggest drama" in the Housewives this year which had to do with accusing Vicki Gunvalson's boyfriend Brooks Ayers of faking his cancer.
As Daily Mail noted, Meghan is not the only person curious if Brooks is really lying about his sickness, noting that Tamra Judge and Gunvalson's daughter Briana also doubted his diagnosis and motives for allegedly lying about his condition.
"The Real Housewife of Orange County" will premiere on June 8, 8 PM on Bravo.
