A leaked research note about Apple's iPhone 6S has been released and it features more than 10 new changes for the device.

The leak came from Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities detailing the key features of the iPhone 6S, though the leakster didn't provide an estimate cost for the gadget. Listed below are the notable elements of the device, as obtained by Apple Insider.

1. The iPhone 6S will reportedly have a new rose gold color option, which matches the Apple Watch Edition. The tech giant first introduced the gold color in the iPhone 5, However, these iPhone model wasn't actually made out of the mineral, unlike the iWatch which contains 18-karat gold.

2. The bending issue encountered in the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will be fixed through a new design with different casing materials and a restructured internal design.

3. The 5.5-inch iPhone model might use scratch-resistant sapphire covers. This, however, depends on resolved drop test issues.

4. The A9 processor with 2 GB RAM space will be utilized for the device similar to the iPad Air 2.

5. Apple will incorporate an improved Touch ID sensor to make the Apple Pay experience faster and with better secure readings.

6. The new iPhone will also have the Force Touch input. Kuo believes that this feature will be the upgraded mobile's biggest selling point, but also one of the major bottlenecks in the supply chain.

"Force Touch can enrich user experience due to more input methods and support of handwritten signatures, which is beneficial for expanding the commercial market," said Kuo, as quoted by AppleInsider.

7. Apple will also upgrade the iPhone 6S' camera to 12 megapixels. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, in contrast, has an 8 MP camera.

8. One microphone will be added near the device's speaker to provide better audio quality.

9. The mobile's screen size will remain at 4.7 and 5.5 inches, with resolution the same as the existing iPhone models. There will be no new 4-inch model of the device.

10. Apple is also considering switching to a proprietary SIM card which already exists in the tech giant's latest iPad models.

Forbes noted that mass production for the iPhone 6S is expect to start in August, with total shipments coming in at 80-90mn in 2015 along with a 2:1 ratio of 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models.

As for its price, PC Advisor speculated that the device will cost around the price of the current iPhones. The iPhone 6 starts at $845 while the iPhone 6 Plus is at $970.
