On the latest "NCIS:LA," the team searched for a stolen thumb drive and Kensi and Deeks received some disheartening news.

In "The Frozen Lake," the NCIS team investigate the beheading of a Pentagon consultant whose thumb drive--which contains a plan for apprehending Pakistan's nuclear weapons arsenal--was stolen. It looked like Gurkha is responsible, but it turns out they are being framed by Pakistan.

Sam (LL Cool J) and Callen (Chris O'Donnell) chase a Gurkha down an alley, which leads to a knife/gun fight. Yet, the NCIS agents find out that he doesn't have the thumb drive. Jemadar Thapa said he's there to clear Gurkha's name, and doesn't care about the intel.

Later, at an airfield, an ISI agent buys a plane and shoots the owner, and Thapa disappears. The agent is later found dead, and Thapa and the thumb drive are no where to be found.

Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) decides to go undercover to find Thapa and retrieve the thumb drive. Deeks goes to Talita because he knows Thapa will go there to get a passport. Deeks goes in with Talita and waits for Thapa. Outside, Kensi (Daniela Ruah) can't wait any longer, and forces her way in. Talita comes behind her with a gun, so Deeks takes a shot at him. The thumb drive is in Talita's pocket.

Meanwhile, the episode also deals with the morning-after awkwardness after Kensi and Deeks spent the night together. The two dance around their feelings, and hint about making their relationship "official." Yet, just as they are beginning their relationship, they each find out separately that Kensi is being put on an indefinite reassignment.

The next episode of "NCIS: LA," "Iron Curtain Rising," will focus on the team's new case while Kensi is overseas on her new assignment.

In "Iron Curtain Rising," "A former Romanian Communist leader and suspected war criminal is found to have been living in Los Angeles under a false identity for over 20 years. The team, which will include the new Tech Operator played by Andrew Leeds, must find him before he disappears again."

Meanwhile, Kensi will be overseas with Granger (Miguel Ferrer) targeting White Ghost.

Watch the promo for "Iron Curtain Rising," which airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on CBS.
